A lovely book that contrasts life before and after the beginning of hostilities, of its time but very funny.

'Fougasse' was the pen name for British cartoonist Cyril Kenneth Bird (1887 - 1965) who created cartoons for the popular magazine 'Punch'. He also created many of the well know posters of WW2 e.g. the 'Careless Talk Costs Lives' series.
