WW2, British, 'Officers Field Kit'; Camp Table with Folding Legs.

A super rare example of the Officers Camp Table with Folding Legs. This was another example of the lightweight furniture produced during the war.The top is made from a piece of canvas with 12 wooden slats joined to the side edges. A stabilising strut was riveted to the corners and folded through 90 degrees to a brass connecting 'nipple' to help create a ridged surface. When folded back this allowed the top to be rolled for transit. The folding base frame is similar to that of the folding wash stand and when assembled the top is 30 inches off the ground with a top surface of 30 inches by 24 inches.

A fantastic item for vintage campers or re-enactors who wish to 'keep it real'. We have other items that would accompany this to enhance that vintage feel.
