Spanish Civil War, Republican, Card Cartridge Box, 1938.

This ‘tatty’, but rare survivor, is an empty cardboard cartridge box of 50 rounds for the Mauser Model 1888 rifle and was manufactured in Seville in July 1938.
As can be seen from the photographs it was designed to fit directly into the leather cartridge pouch of the Spanish M1923/6 equipment.
