WW2 British ‘1939 Pattern’, ‘Dunkirk Period’, Entrenching Tool with Repro’ Cover, 1940.

A nice example of this getting harder to find 1939 Pattern entrenching tool, date stamped 1940. It was based on the German shovel issued to the German army in WWI, featuring a ‘Linnemann’ style square blade with a short wooden handle. The entrenching tools comes with reproduction web carrier that covers the blade completely, with a web strap that connects around the handle fastening to a brass buckle.
